Hey! My name is Vanessa and I am the Case Profiler for NPS.

Honestly, I was never into paranormal activities. The thought of ever seeing a spirit, or hearing things in the middle of the night I could not see would scare me to death. Yes, I always believed in spirits and life after death, but quite frankly I didn't want anything to do with it. I even told my mother once "If you ever die, I love you, but please don't try to contact me...I'll pass out."
Well, my feelings towards this unknown world all changed when some friends and I went on a vacation to Key West. After doing everything you could possibly do in the Keys the only thing left, was to go on their famous Ghost Tour. On the tour, we stopped at Club Chameleon and were told to stand by the doors, and to try to sense what happened there. Within seconds I became very hot, and felt somewhat claustrophobic. I automatically thought this place caught on fire. When our tour guide asked us what we had felt, I didn't say anything, because everyone in the group was saying that they had felt cold spots. I thought if I said what I felt, that I would sound like a crazy woman. I wasn't. The tour guide told us the story of how this place caught on fire, on more than one occasion. Since that day I felt as though I finally knew what I was supposed to be doing.......Paranormal Research.
I love what I do with NPS. Every time I go on a case I feel an adrenaline rush as if I am on a roller coaster. I think what drives me to do paranormal research is that I want some kind of proof that life after death truly does exist. I work with a great team and I'm glad to call them family.
